Do you work in the UK dance sector? Do you share work online and/or use AI in your creative work? Do you have concerns about the way your work might be used in the context of AI? We’d love to hear from you!
We are excited to share the AI and Dance Survey. We aim to gather data on three topics: first, if and how AI is being used in dance creation and performance contexts; second, what concerns dance artists (whether they use AI or not) may have concerns about the potential use of their motion data to train AI models; third, the possibility of artists’ work being involved in the development of a digital replica or ‘deepfakes’. The survey is for people who work in the dance sector in the UK and either share dance content online or have their content shared online by collaborators or colleagues.
The research project is being conducted by Hetty Blades at Coventry University. Your participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, and you can opt out at any stage by closing and exiting the browser. If you are happy to take part, please follow the link below and answer the questions relating to your use of AI in creative work and attitudes towards the ownership of your creative work in the context of AI.
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey will remain open until 23.69 on 22 June 2025. Respondents will be emailed a £5 LoveToShop voucher after the survey has closed.
